For Corporate

This section is designed to give you some pointers on the practical way to go about purchasing decorated apparel for your group, whether it be a bank, insurance company, a school, a group of Account Executives or a Bowling Team.

The whole concept of Corporate Apparel has changed dramatically in recent years.  The formality of yesteryears has been relaxed substantially with the introduction of "Casual Fridays" and "Dress Down Days."  The formal dress shirt and necktie have been replaced with more casual, comfortable apparel in many professions.

Along with this comes the need to distinguish your employees from others they may be interfacing with.  Although every company or group has its own idea of "Corporate Casual", the requirements are generally a nice, simple knit or woven shirt with the company logo embroidered on the left chest.   The logo can be a graphic and/or text.  It should be simple, clear and readable from a distance of at least 5-10 feet away.

This is what we do.

Now is a good time to pick your company colors if you have not already done so.  Consult with your co-workers to find out about any special needs or wants, such as especially large sizes, tall or short sizes, or special preferences (zippers over snaps for example).  Most apparel items are readily available through size 2XL.  Basics are usually available in 3XL.  Beyond 3XL, special consideration needs to be given to availability.

Product Offerings

The offerings in knits are many, from a simple, solid Jerzees Polo (available in many colors) that can be color coordinated* to a luxurious Mercerized  polo shirt by Devon and Jones that is the absolute cream of the crop.

A solid color cotton pique sport shirt is the standard.  We recommend those by Outer Banks, but there are many other styles and brands for you to pick from.  Outer Banks offers ladies' versions that allow a much more feminine fit.  They color coordinate* with other Outer Banks products for a consistent, professional presentation.

If your interests lie in a particular area, often there may be styles oriented in that direction.  Racing is a good example. Many shirts are available with checkered  trim in bright racing colors.  In many cases, popular sports team color combinations are available.

Denim shirts generally come in 6 to 8 ounce per square yard weights.  Colored denims are becoming more popular, with Natural, Green, and Black competing with the traditional Stonewashed Blue.  UltraClub is the leader with a nice heavyweight denim in Men's, Ladies', and Youth styles.  Denims are popular with School Personnel, Banks, Sales People and Account Executives.

UltraClub, Van Heusen and Bill Blass offer dressy sanded twills (Lighter, Smoother Woven Fabric) in a variety of smart styles and colors for men and women.

Consultation

If you have taken the time to read through the above information, you are starting to get a pretty good idea of what you want.  We have tried to address as much as possible here, but we have probably missed something.  We are very familiar with our products and can tell you much more about them.  Please call 1-800-604-9190 or E-mail with your questions and we will do our best to answer them.  If you get an answering machine, leave your number and we will get right back to you.

*Color Coordinated - We have the ability with certain products to match colors on fleece sweatshirts, polo shirts, and tee shirts across a full size range (sometimes from youth X-Small to Adult 4XL).  Example:   We can put your group in a youth polo shirt, adult tee shirt, and adult 3XL sweatshirt that would all be exactly the same color.
